Kate Mayfield

Kate Mayfield (born 1969) is a recurring fictional character in Nelson DeMille novels. She is an FBI agent working in New York City. She is described by her husband, John Corey, as a "Wendy Wasp from Wichita". In "The Lion's Game", published 2000, Corey first sees her as "blond, blue eyes, athletic kind of build..." Later, after the first time he saw her naked, he adds "more exquisite, more full than I'd imagined it." She lures him into marrying her at the end of the book. In "Night Fall", published 2004, Corey describes her as "rather nice looking, very clean cut." In "Wild Fire", published 2006, Corey states "My wife is a beautiful woman" with an "incredibly athletic yet voluptuous body, breasts that defy the laws of gravity, long legs that are as beautiful as any I've ever seen." On duty, she is the dedicated federal agent. In private, alone with Corey, she takes the initiative for sex and regularly assumes the top position.
